Put an AI to work on a real computer — PC or phone, on cloud or yours.

It works the apps that have no API — Office, Shopee, LINE, a bank portal — while you watch every click and approve anything that matters. Pay per job, not per month.

What it is

An AI agent that works on a real computer — a cloud one to start, or your own PC or phone. Unlike a cloud-only agent boxed in its provider’s sandbox, it can work with your logged-in apps, your files, your accounts — the ones no cloud VM can reach. You command it from WhatsApp or LINE, and it messages you back its progress in your chat — no separate app to keep open.

How billing works

Compute meters by the second and stops the moment you do — but your files and setup never vanish between sessions. Pick your work back up tomorrow exactly where you left it.

Real desktop, real apps

Works the portals & software that have no API — export docs, forms, data entry.

You watch & approve

See every click. It pauses before Submit for your one-tap OK. No black box.

Pay per job

Pay-per-job pricing, done in minutes. Compute billed by the second; your files persist.

On your phone, or none at all

The Android option has the real Google Play Store — install anything, driven from chat, with no computer in the loop.

How it works

you text a task a desktop opens you watch it work approve & get it
  1. Send a task from the web app — or command it from WhatsApp or LINE.
  2. A live Windows, Linux, or Android desktop opens in your browser in seconds.
  3. The AI does the work while you watch — jump in or approve anytime.
  4. Get your deliverable. Pay for the gig. The desktop suspends; your data stays.

It gets smarter every run

Most agents start every job from zero, and a bigger model is the only lever. fastco's agent keeps a memory of what actually worked — so a task it fumbled once, it gets right the next time — and when it hits a wall it switches tactics instead of spinning. The harness does the improving, not just the model.

Learns from every run

When a run recovers from a dead end, it remembers the step that worked and skips the dead end next time. It gets better with use — not only with a pricier model.

Self-corrects, live

If an action has no effect, it notices, switches to a different model, and finds another way — instead of repeating the same mistake until it gives up.

You tap in only when needed

A CAPTCHA or a 2FA code? You step in on the same screen for ten seconds and it carries on. The wall that stops other agents becomes a quick handoff — not a dead end.

One agent, any screen

The same agent that runs your desktops and phones speaks an open protocol (AG‑UI) — so it isn't trapped in one app. Drive it from the web app, from WhatsApp or LINE, or embed it in your own product (React/CopilotKit, or any client) over one streaming endpoint. One backend, many faces, no lock‑in. See the live AG‑UI demo →

Three machines, one balance

Pick the machine that fits the task — your files and AI credit are the same across all three. Switch any time; nothing is locked to one. Your own Android phone can join as a machine too (pair it with one code), and if you’d rather own than rent: Lifetime — $159 one-time per VM, 2 vCPU · 4 GB RAM for Windows on a dedicated 6 GB unit, unlimited hours, never sleeps — your agent keeps working with your laptop closed.

Windows

Full desktop

Real apps and portals that have no API — Excel, broker terminals, government sites. Opens right in your browser, same view as every other machine (classic RDP one click away if you prefer it).

Linux burner

Free, RAM only

A throwaway shell + browser for coding, research and quick automation. Always free, unmetered, spins up in seconds.

Android 16

Real Play Store

A genuine Android phone with the real Google Play Store — install any app and drive it from chat, no computer in the loop.

Cloud agents lock you to their cloud. Desktop agents lock you to one vendor's model. fastco.work is the harness that unifies both — your machine or our cloud, any model, no lock-in, all driven from the chat you already use.

And the coding agents? Cursor’s cloud agents and their kind ship pull requests from a repo — excellent for software teams. fastco is for the work that has no repo and no API: Office, LINE, Shopee, a bank portal, a phone app — done on a real machine, including one you own.

And the new “agent computers” and “agent harnesses”? Boxes like Otto give an agent a dedicated computer so it keeps working while your laptop is closed — through API connectors. Harnesses like TrueForge and Claude Managed Agents decide how an agent thinks and which model it uses. fastco is where the agent acts: a real Windows, Linux or Android with the apps already signed in — Shopee Seller, LINE OA, the bank — that no connector reaches. It is also always on, on a machine you can own for life, and it is model-neutral by design — so bring your own harness if you have one; we bring the hands.

And the powerful open-source agents like oh‑my‑pi? Genuinely impressive — model‑neutral, with their own cross‑session memory, and they can even drive a real desktop. But they run in your terminal, on your machine, for someone who lives in a CLI. fastco is that same power delivered as a product: a hosted real computer (or your own), commanded from WhatsApp or LINE, that a non‑technical person can watch and approve — no terminal required.

The cloud one is the easy way to start. The reason to stay is that it also runs where a cloud agent structurally can't — on the machine and the data that are already yours. See how it works, step by step →

Freelance job demand

The Upwork/Fastwork middle: data entry, research, forms, listings — done by AI. See the live demand data →

Developers

An IDE on Windows, a Linux shell and a browser — open at once, each a real desktop, not a tab. Builds and test runs keep going after you close the laptop, and you can pick them up from your phone.

Traders

Several broker and charting terminals side by side, each isolated — including the ones that only ship a Windows client. Leave them running; check in from anywhere.

Every plan runs 4 desktops at once — free included. Not browser tabs: four independent machines, tiled on one screen or switched between as tabs. What the plan sets is how many of those 4 may be Windows — 1 on Free, 2 on Starter, 4 on Pro and Max — the rest are Linux, and Linux is always free. See plans →

How billing works — two meters, on purpose

The thing most people ask about, drawn plainly. Your plan credit and your compute time are separate; neither eats the other.

AI credit — from your plan

Pays for AI usage only

A monthly USD balance that only the AI draws down. Unused credit accumulates month to month — it is never spent on desktop time.

Compute — the desktop itself

Bills by the second, only while watched

The machine meters per second while you use it and stops the instant it goes idle — an abandoned desktop suspends itself and costs nothing.

FAQ

How does billing actually work?

Two separate meters, on purpose. Your plan ($0–$159/mo) buys Windows access and a monthly USD credit — that credit pays for AI usage only and is never touched by desktop time. Compute (the desktop itself) bills by the second, separately, and only while a desktop is actually running and watched — an idle desktop doesn't rack up charges. Unused plan credit accumulates rather than resetting to zero each month.

How many desktops can I run at once, and does it cost extra?

Every account gets 4 concurrent desktops, on every plan including Free — not browser tabs, four independent machines you can tile or switch between. What your plan sets is how many of those 4 may be Windows (1 on Free, 2 on Starter, 4 on Pro and Max); the rest are Linux, and Linux desktops are always free and unmetered.

Can the AI submit, pay, or send something without me noticing?

No. The agent always pauses before an irreversible action — Submit, Pay, Send — and waits for your one-tap approval before continuing. You can also take over the desktop yourself at any point and hand control back when you're done.

What happens to my files when a desktop stops?

Your desktop suspends, not deletes — memory and storage persist with your subscription, so picking it back up later is exactly where you left off. Only the compute time you actually used gets billed; storage isn't a separate line item.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No — the Free tier needs no card, includes a Windows desktop (4 hours/day) plus unlimited Linux, and starts with credit already in your wallet.

Can I use my own computer instead of a fastco desktop?

Yes — attach a Linux terminal or WSL shell you already own ("BYO device") and run commands on it the same way you would on a fastco desktop. It's free and unmetered, and you can attach as many devices as you like.

Is my desktop private, or shared with other customers?

Private. Every customer gets their own dedicated VM — never a shared machine — so there's no cross-tenant visibility into your files, sessions, or history.

What's the difference between "gigs" and "permanent roles" on the live demand page?

Gigs are project-based listings a cowork can realistically bid for and complete. Permanent roles are salaried job-board postings — shown as market context (what these skills are worth, where demand is) but not something a cowork can take, since it isn't an employee. See both at live demand →

Can I cancel or change plans anytime?

Yes, from your account after signing in — no lock-in, no notice period.

Can I control my desktop from WhatsApp?

Yes — start, stop, status and live gigs demand work from a WhatsApp chat, and every reply quotes the message it answers. Linking uses WhatsApp's own "Linked devices" with an 8-character code (no QR, no extra app). Honest status: this runs for the first linked account today; self-service linking for every customer is the next build. Details in docs §11.
